Walk: Solem - Himovatnet

The Solem – Himovatnet path is accessible on foot, by bicycle,
wheelchair, strollers, and skis. There are four shelters along the path,
benches to rest on, a toilet and a universally accessibly fishing spot.
Easy terrain, approx. 4,5 km each way. This is Europe’s longest UA
Geocaching-trail. Red Cross cabin just before Himovatnet. Please be
considerate of the reindeer in the area. If you would prefer a more
strenuous hike, you can take the trail by Grøtåa bridge and follow
blue markings to Skjørlandshatten 431 masl. This hike is a 6 km return
trip from the parking.

Directions: 

From the E6 just south of Grong, turn off and drive towards Namsos
on FV760. Turn left in the junction at Skogmo. Before you reach
Ranemsletta, turn right towards Solen, signposted “turområde”.
Drive to the parking area at the end of the gravel road.
