Hike: Spannfjellet 474 moh.

Spannfjellet is a lovely hiking trip with gorgeous views over Namsen
and Overhalla. On days with clear weather, you can see all the way to
Høylandet and Grong from the top. Start the hike at the parking and
follow the road to Blakkhaugen. Follow marked trail to Vigdisvarden
(Fuglårvarden in maps). Walk onwards to the cairn at the summit of
Spannfjellet. Some bog at the start of the trail, but large parts of the
hike have wooden “bridges” on the bog. 3,6 km each way.

Directions: 

Drive FV17 to Skogmo, then drive FV760 towards Grong. First exit on
the left after Skogmo Industripark. Alternatively, drive E6, take the
exit to Namsos on FV760 then turn right before the exit to Skogmo
Industripark. Follow the road straight ahead to Skogmo Skytebane
(shooting range). Park here. Please be aware of any activity at the
range and do not walk alongside it. Follow the road. You can also
drive to the ski facility at Blakkhaugen and park there.
