Hiking: Round trip in the Skorovas Mountains
A round trip in the Skorovas mountains is a great day hike, or a good 2-day trip for those who enjoy wilderness camping. The round trip is 17 km long from start to finish, along a marked trail (red Norwegian Trekking Association T-s). You are walking in alpine Norwegian landscapes and should bring cooking equipment and extra food. The weather in the mountains can turn quite quickly, and it is important to bring maps, compass and GPS. You will be passing many lakes where fishing is possible. Remember to buy a fishing licence.
Directions: At the junction in Grøndalselv, leave the E6 and drive 25 km towards Skorovatn. Drive past Skorovatn chapel and towards the old mining entrance. Park by the entrance to the mine and start your walk.
