Namsos City, Namsos Municipality
In the outdoors activity area near Namsos city centre there are many kilometres of prepared skiing trails. The trails start by the skiing centre in Granåsen, and in the neighbourhood of Fossbrenda. Fossbrenda is 2 – 3 km away from the city centre. Bymarkas Venner prepares the trails every year, usually daily or on request. See trails at skisporet.no.
Spillumsmarka, Namsos Kommune
Across the Namsen river from Namsos is the area of Spillum. In Spillum Spillum IL prepares cross-county ski trails every year. Some of the trails are lit while some require you to wear a headlight. Grong Skisenter – Ski Resort, Grong Kommune
In the area around Grong Skisenter there are miles upon miles with trails for skiing. The trails are suitable for cross-country skis and with skis meant for mountain and/or alpine skiing. The trails are prepared daily and if needed. You can read more about the ski resort on grong-skisenter.no
Namdalseid Municipality
Namdalseid IL prepares close to 50km of cross-country trails in Namdalseid Municipality. Next to Namdalseid School there is a 3 km long train. See trail info on skisporet.no
Kolvereid, Nærøy Municipality
In Kolvereid you can go cross-county skiing in a lit trail in wintertime. The lit trail starts at the parking area by the quarry i.e. grustak in Norwegian. Se trails on skisporet.no. There are also trails in Foldereid, which you can find more information about here.
Høylandet Municipality
Høylandet Tråkk prepares well over 50 km of skiing trails in Høylandet Municipality througout the winter. See trails on skisporet.no.

Trones, Namsskogan Municipality
Begin your winter adventure in Namsskogan Familiepark and bring skis so you can test out the cross-country trails while you are there. Many good skiing trails starts by the park. Skorovas, Namsskogan Municipality
Lyshaug Gård prepares ski trails in the area around the mountain village of Skorovas. Maybe you could start the day cross-country skiing, and end the day with some Après-Ski drinks at Sjenkestova? In Sjenkstova they have more than 500 different kinds of beer. See trails here.
Holand, Nordli og Sørli, Lierne Municipality
