Hiking: Storkroktjønna

The walk to Storkroktjønna pond goes through easy terrain, 4.6 km one way. There is a cabin by Storkroktjønna which can be rented from Visit Børgefjell by hikers, trekkers or those who wish to fish in the area. All fishing in ponds and lakes on the cabin property is included when renting the cabin. Boats are also included. From Storkroktjønna you can also hike onwards to Tjærma/Tjiermejaevrieh, Prekstolsteinen, Austvatnet/Luvliejaevrie and Lissfjellet/Såålevuernie.

Directions: From E6 take the Fv 773 road towards Røyrvik, follow the road to Gjersvik. Park by the old hotel by the junction, before Røyrvik. You can also park in the parking area between Gjersvik and Bjørkvatnet.
