Hiking: Lakavatnet
Scenic walk to Lakavatnet on the edge of Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella/Låarte-Skæhkere National Park. If you wish to do a round trip, walk the 3 km long path towards Lakavatnet via Lakavasshytta (signposted), then walk via the boathouse of Fjellstyrene i Lierne. Walk along the river from Lakavatnet and back to the parking area. The entire round trip is 6-7 km. Feel free to bring a fishing rod but remember to buy a fishing licence. Please note: Reindeer in the area, be considerate.
Directions: From E6, drive eastwards on Fv74 towards Gäddede. Take the Fv 765 towards Mebygda, then turn right at the Berglia junction and drive Fv348 in 21 km to Tjallia – the gateway to Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park. The last 6 km from Berglia is a toll road, fee 100,- NOK paid in cash.
