Gike: Øyensskavlen 687 masl.

Øyensskavlen/Båeriesvaerie 687 masl is one of the highest mountains
in Namsos municipality. From the parking area you follow the
gravel road to the masts. Follow trail onwards to the cairn at the
summit. This is a demanding hike, but manageable when you follow
the gravel road. 6,4 km each way. From the top you will be able to
see large parts of Namdalen. The summit is located within
Øyenskavelen nature reserve. We ask that all hikers show consideration
for plant- and wildlife in the area.

Directions: 

Drive FV17 from Namsos or Steinkjer and turn west on FV715 towards
Osen. Drive 5 km until you reach Myrmoen. Park at the large parking
area on the right side of the road.
