Stay overnight in a traditional fisherman's house/ rorbu in Sør-Gjæslingan fishing village
Visit the old fishing village Sør-Gjæslingan, a cultural heritage since 2010. In the summertime you may visit the islands by boat and you can choose to stay overnight in an authentic rorbu - fisherman's house.
Experience the historic fishing village of Sør-Gjæslingan, which became a protected cultural heritage site in 2010. Sør-Gjæslingan is a group of small islands out toward the patch of ocean called Folla, 50 km southwest of Rørvik. This was once one of the biggest and most important fishing villages south of Lofoten. Several thousand fishermen would gather here during the fishing season.
From mid-May until the end of August, there is regularly scheduled boat service to Sør-Gjæslingan on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
